Connecting the dots backward, the “mystic athlete” archetype emerged in childhood and became a dominant driving force for my ambition, intentions and actions.
I was primed to enter adulthood with a fire to study and create holistic health and spiritual personal development practices.
Personal development takes root in the mindfulness of present-moment truth and realism, while at the same time extends its organic wild tendrils into the ever-complex life tapestry of new challenges, visions and dreams.
I focus on maintaining positive, spirited and physically active life experiences that inspire the great bit of life energy required to respectfully study, design, build and deliver optimal health practices and projects.
To inform my work as a wellness educator, entrepreneur and project manager, I have attained over 1600 certified training hours in the healing arts, including a 1000-hr massage therapy diploma and 400+ hours of formal Anusara Yoga teacher training with Darren Rhodes, Sianna Sherman, and Abby Tucker, along with dozens of continuing education workshop hours alongside world-renowned teachers. As a licensed L.M.T., certified RYT-200 yoga teacher, and PMI-certified Professional Project Manager (PMP), I’m passionate about building relations, services, products and events that promote health, social good and environmental responsibility.
Enthusiasm to pursue “the feel good” has always been a primary force at work, guiding my endeavors to explore interesting places and to reach new heights in both professional and personal relationships.
My wellness work spans 20+ years of teaching in the US, France, Thailand, Indonesia and Portugal, managing a fitness club, developing health protocols and overseeing the program management of a medical injury rehabilitation department, mentoring boutique wellness start-ups, co-creating an active lifestyle eco t-shirt brand, offering therapeutic healing art services in one of the world’s top destination health resort, and project managing web and IT system implementation projects in the healthcare, education, and active lifestyle sectors.
My teaching specialty is focused upon all-inclusive empowering and therapeutic body alignment. In my big-hearted classes and workshops I predominantly offer an intuitive improv teaching style to serve the moment and particular client(s) honestly and clearly. This delivery is steeped in a plethora of offerings including but not limited to thematic philosophy and storytelling, anatomy, self-wellness practices, and creative movement sequencing. I choose to focus on two primary intentions:
- First: meet the present experience with reverence.
- Second: safely and playfully explore our alchemical natures to shift from perceived limitations into the power of potential.
Each of us has a unique journey to well-being. As many journeys go, having a few well-intentioned guides along the way makes for interesting company and energizing endeavors.
Since childhood, I’ve magnetized powerful guides to me: gifted humble teachers, celebrities, entrepreneurs, mountaineers, shamans… lots o’ powerful healers, makers and shakers!
I have honorable respect for them, and the wealth of these audacious soul food studies.
I produce wellness experiences, distilled from 25+ years of digging deep into holistic health and pursuing a boundless exploration of life, mystery and the sacred.
I hope you will join me in this exploration. Discover your compass point in this moment, in this breath, as an alchemist, as a dreamer, as a mover, as a shaker, as an adventurous mojo maker.
Check out the Services & Boosts pages for invitations to join in this exploration.
My Mantra = “To exploration!”
I ask, “To what capacity do I yearn to explore the depths of my truth?”
Welcome to my journey.
The answer is always arriving.
Practice after practice. Breath after breath.
I say, be strong, be open.
Practice kindness to yourself and all beings.
Laugh. A lot.
It makes the inner organs happy and builds your feel-good rhythm.
What’s active mindful mojo stuff and how do I get it?
In its simplest essence, it is FEEL GOOD.
Active Mindful Mojo is your own vibrant and exalted awareness of your personal optimal FEEL GOOD.
To have the MOJO, you are BOTH active & mindful in your practice.
SoulButter Active Mindful Mojo classes offer a fusion of all the holistic goodness Ms. SoulButter collects and assimilates from decades of global travel, yoga, fitness and sports training, meditation, spiritual philosophy, dance, mythology, sound healing, mantra chanting, aromatherapy, nutrition, and therapeutic eastern & western bodywork modalities of massage, acupressure, reiki and craniosacral therapy.
Each class arises from a partially filled-in map in order to invite the experience to be as all attendees create it to be in that precise moment. In this way, no two SoulButter classes are EVER alike.
The practice, whether a 1-to-1 training or large group gathering in either public and private setting, is a dynamic, breathing, polymorphic entity, ever-shifting from each participant’s intention, attitude and actions. Side-by-side, we read the present moment as truthfully as possible. With this approach, personal exploration remains a free-willed force that uncovers new paths specific to your own unique mojo-making journey.
Culture. Fitness. Art. Geography. Unity.
I travel to experience and contribute to the global family.
